Welcome!!!

The Texas Soaring Association (TSA) is a non-profit corporation devoted to motorless flight. Established in 1947, the club is located 15 minutes south of Midlothian, Texas, which is itself at the southern edge of the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The club is maintained and operated by the voluntary efforts of its more than 200 members. The club operates from its own airfield and owns six single and four two-place sailplanes, plus four Pawnee towplanes.  TSA operates year round on most flyable Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The club also operates on an unscheduled basis on other weekdays when the flying weather is really good!

Drive to TSA

GENERAL DIRECTIONS TO TSA USING HIGHWAY 287 BYPASS:

To find TSA, first go toward Midlothian, TX and get to the US highway 287 loop that bypasses Midlothian on the south side of town. Take the exit off the US 287 loop that is labeled FM 663 – 14th Street. Turn south onto FM 663. Proceed for approximately 3.3 miles until FM 663 dead-ends into FM 875. Turn right onto FM 875, go approximately 1/4 mile, then turn left onto Singleton Road (there is a sign pointing to the Salvation Army Camp Hoblitzelle). Go 2 miles on Singleton Road, passing Camp Hoblitzelle. You will see TSA on your left.

FROM DALLAS:
Take I-35E south, then US 67 south (toward Cleburne). At Midlothian, take the exit to US 287 South to Waxahachie (not Business 287, which goes through downtown Midlothian.) After taking the exit, bear right almost immediately onto a second exit, which loops to the right and is the entrance to the US 287 bypass. Travel 1.2 miles to the first exit off the US 287 bypass, which is labeled FM 663 – 14th Street. After exiting, turn right at the stop sign onto FM 663 and proceed as indicated in the “General Directions” above.

FROM FORT WORTH AND POINTS WEST OF FORT WORTH:
Take I-20 east and then take US 287 south toward Midlothian. As you approach Midlothian, bear right and take the 287 south loop toward Waxahachie. After exiting, turn right at the stop sign onto FM 663 and proceed as indicated in the “General Directions” above.

FROM WACO AND POINTS SOUTH:
From Waco, take I-35W north (I-35 splits into I-35W and I-35E just north of Hillsboro) to US 67. Exit right, take 67 north to Midlothian. As you approach Midlothian, exit right onto the 287 south loop toward Waxahachie. Do not take Business 287, which goes through downtown Midlothian. FROM DOWNTOWN MIDLOTHIAN:

(FM 663 is also called South 9th Street; it is located at the traffic light just east of the railroad tracks and just west of the CVS drug store located on the southeast corner of the intersection.) After turning onto FM 663, proceed straight, continuing south on FM 663/South 9th Street past the two stop signs at the intersection of FM 663 and the new US 287 bypass.
